Hideous Pictures from the Past: 1987-1999

I was going through a box of pictures and found these relics from the past.
World Trade Center Observation Deck - February 1987 - Most Awful Picture of All Time. I was in New York City for work for the first time and had to have my picture taken here. It was bitter cold and very windy--that's all I can remember. I thought I would never come back to New York. Little did I know that 6 months later, I would be living there permanently. I worked on the 50th floor of Tower 1. If they had had digital cameras in 1987, I would have deleted this picture.
Star Trek Exhibit - Smithsonian Washington DC - May 1993 - "Beam me up, Scotty." Those plaid shorts are "in" again. This was Memorial Day weekend. Doug flew in from Wisconsin and I flew down from New York City. We had a blast visiting all the monuments and museums over a 4-day period. I found those sunglasses hanging from my neck a few weeks ago while digging through a box of old stuff. I look like a bug when I wear them.
Hard Rock Cafe - Washington DC - May 1993 - HRC is located next to Ford's Theater, where Lincoln was shot.
Top of Bascom Hill - UW Wisconsin Madison - June 1993 - Doug, Dave Stanton and I went back to visit the alma mater. I always wanted to sit on the statue. And since it was summer, there was no one to stop me from doing it.
Los Angeles - July 1993 - Just before I moved to Belgium. A former colleague lived here so I went out to visit for a few days before flying up to Seattle for a business convention. Dig those funkadelic sun glasses.
Doug and I all dressed up for John & Jean's Wedding - July 1993 - I thought this was the last wedding I had stood up in, but then I remembered Doug and Jenny's wedding in 1998.
Gills Rock, WI - December 1999 - Look at those ice formations.
