I ran my 10th Boston Marathon yesterday in 2:54:05. It was cool and comfortable but with 15-25 mph headwinds. I came in 708th overall. I had a nice Saturday and Sunday in Boston going to the Sports & Fitness Expo and going over to Bunker Hill to climb the 294 steps of the monument the day before the race. Not a smart thing to do. The race was difficult with the wind, especially on the hills. It's over now and I've forgotten all that. So when is the next one? Can't say for sure--in the fall. On the way home, my flight was delayed 2 hours so I didn't get home till after 9:30 pm. And I slept quite well to boot. Probably will hit the road in a few days. The quads and calves are sore. Ah, the joys of marathon running.
Saturday before the race at the finish line:
Wishful thinking. We had 15-25 mph headwinds on race day:

Here's a video of me finishing the Boston Marathon yesterday. I am crossing the line at 4:34 on this clip. I am on the left side passing under the timing clock at 2:54:36. I'm in the light gray shirt and blue shorts, with my hands in the air and a wadded up blue shirt in my left hand.
